This is a podcast/e-zine dedicated to finding and promoting the amazing Christian talent in the mid-michigan area. Each week we scour the web looking for the newest and hottest Christian Rappers and Singers. Our absolute favorites will be selected for showcasing in our weekly Podcast, 'The Ministry of DJism', a show that focuses on the best in Christian Hip Hop. yeah, we'll even throw in some rock and pop songs from time to time too.
XERO for Hire is a Christian DJ Company based in Saginaw, MI. The main focus of the group is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ, through media arts, among the already exsisting yet dormant youth groups in the Mid-Michigan area. XERO for Hire serves both Evangelical and Apostolic roles in the Church community and uses the platform of the DJ to bring unity, hope and awareness that is lacking amongst the younger generations. The main attraction is a Podcast/Radio Show, entitled, 'The Ministry of DJism', a show dedicated to bringing christian hip hop to local venues and radio stations. The goal is to change the format of freely accessable music in an effort to redirect the current mentality and attitude of the general public, and ultimately reshaping the image that is projected onto the City of Saginaw, MI.
XERO for Hire operates under the concept that people are more receptive to the images and themes that are projected onto them by everyday media, via television, News broadcasts and music. We believe that media is so psycologically endusive, that it has the power to shape one's perception of the world. We also believe that through changing the format of freely accessable media, we have the power to re-institute the so-called 'forgotten standards' of today's society. History and experience has shown us that by simply changing the music available in bars and night clubs, the owner has control over the emotional intensity of his patrons. He also has the ability to choose his demographic. It has also been suggested that a good DJ has the ability to increase drink sales through the power of suggestion. All things considered, music or media is the main tool used in maintaining the attitude, emotional intensity and in some cases the actions of any particular demographic.
We believe Hip Hop Culture to be one of the most powerful influences in the City of Saginaw among today's youth. We hope that by moderating the level of suggestive behavior that is pushed on our listeners, we can expect to see a dramatic decrease in the negative attributes that come along with this particular genre of music. We can also expect to see an increase in pride, fellowship, and participation from even the most dormant communities.
If we change the media, we change minds.
If we change minds, we change people.
If we change people, we change the city.
If the City changes, it's citizens prosper.
Thus is the philosophy of XERO for Hire.
XERO for Hire is a combination of 3 projects. 
Our Mission Statement
The Majority of this website is dedicated to DJ's and those into club culture who have made it their lives. It's a part of you that may never leave. The Ministry of DJism aims to be a window into a world of more positive music...food for the spirit. The other sections of this website are just extensions of the same ideas and concepts.
- We will ALWAYS review songs before they are played/aired.
- We will pray for GOD's will before each show.
- We will offer an 'Alter Call' at the end of every live show.
- We understand that as a DJ/Entertainer, we have a responsibility to use proper judgement regarding the music that is played in our show, the conversation that is aired and the public and private image we uphold for Jesus Christ.
- We understand that our purpose is to reach souls for Jesus Christ as well as entertain.
My mission as a DJ is much like that of the radio stations who helped keep the American troops uplifted during the Vietnam War. I help set and keep the standard for Christian hip hop. i seek out Artists who are not only willing to improve their craft, but are willing to improve their walk with God. Christian hip Hop is just now being taken seriously thanks to the likes of Lecrae, Flame, And Trip Lee, but we (artists) have to keep a standard as to how that music is presented.
I don't want to be a reflection of the following:
- False Converts
- Wimpy Christians
- Wack rappers
- Poorly produced/written music
- Borderline christianity
- mediocracy
I only extend my services to the following:
- People in need
- People who want to grow
- people who want to believe
Everything else can be fixed in a person, but if they are not willing to change, then I can't help them.
I believe that as an entertainer, i am obligated to alert the public of the sin that plagues our culture and we CAN fight back, But ONLY through Christ. I'm very strict about that and I hope it shows in my work. I rep Christ till it kills me, and I'll fight alongside with ANYONE who lives the same way. Remember that this site in intended for entertainment, but it may also hold the key to saving your soul. Jesus Christ is the only reason this project was started. Without his help, nothing is possible.
